The Sounds of Summer 2018

Sign up now to attend a Yamaha summer camp near you.

Are you ready for the sounds of summer?

Over 55,000 students and educators have participated in a Yamaha Sounds of Summer percussion camp. Enrollment for 2018 is about to begin!

Many school music programs are in need of expert percussion instruction to prepare for parades, halftime shows and other marching band activities. The goal of SOS camps is to offer top-notch instruction from a roster of world-class percussion educators to teachers and students nationwide, regardless of program size or school budgets.

In these camps, Yamaha marching percussion clinicians work side by side with local educators and music dealers to improve teaching skills. In turn, the students develop greater confidence and stronger playing abilities.

Camps are located all across the country and include in-depth, hands-on instruction from the hottest names in drum corps such as Dennis DeLucia, Jim Campbell, Bret Kuhn, Tom Aungst, Mike McIntosh, Lee Beddis, Dave Marvin, Matt Savage and many more. During the camp, students rehearse and perform exercises and etudes contained in the Sounds of Summer Marching Essentials book.
