Brian Fullen has performed on Grammy and Emmy Award winning recording projects throughout his tenure in the Nashville music community. As a drum set artist, he has performed or recorded with many national and international artists including Peter Frampton, Tracy Nelson, Shania Twain, Little River Band, Larry Carlton, Keith and Kristyn Getty, Vince Gill and Allies among many others.. He can also be heard on the Emmy Award winning Showtime television series Homeland, the Jack Frost movie soundtrack, the Mafia III award winning video game soundtrack, Prairie Home Companion, Budweiser Brazil television ads, and the Jim Brickman PBS television specials Disney Songbook featuring Wayne Brady, Michael Bolton, Lila McCann, and Celebration Of The 70’s featuring David Pack, David Cassidy, and Rita Coolidge. As an educator, Fullen served as Adjunct Professor of Drum set and Percussion at the diverse Belmont University School of Music in Nashville, TN from 1994-2006. He is an artist/clinician and performs motivational drum set clinics and masterclasses at Universities and high schools across the country. He has been invited to present at two Percussive Arts Society International Conventions, and has contributed articles to Modern Drummer Magazine and Percussive Notes Magazine. He holds a Master of Arts in Pedagogy degree from Memphis State University, studying under Frank Schaffer, and a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance degree from Capital University where he studied under fellow Yamaha Artist Bob Breithaupt.
Brian has authored/co-authored three critically acclaimed drum set instructional books: Jazz Standards For Drumset (Hal Leonard Pub.); Bass Drum Essentials For Drumset (Alfred Pub.); and Contemporary Country Styles For The Drummer And Bassist (Alfred Pub.)
