Originally from Teutopolis, Illinois, Gregg moved to Nashville in 2000 after completing his Bachelor’s degree (Eastern Illinois University) and Master’s degree (University of Tennessee, Knoxville). He immediately began spending playing nights in the local club scene. In 2003, he began playing with country artist Aaron Tippin where he spent 3 ½ years touring throughout the United States including and oversees.
In October 2006, Gregg began playing for 2006 American Idol finalist and 2013 Dancing With The Stars champion, Kellie Pickler. During his time in Nashville, he has had the opportunity to perform on many different television shows with Kellie as well as television with Aaron Tippin and Craig Campbell. In 2012/2013, Gregg appeared on various episodes of Season 1 of the ABC hit show Nashville where he was the drummer for the “Juliette Barnes” character played by Hayden Panettiere. Throughout his career, Gregg has recorded or performed with such artists as Lady A, Big and Rich, Florida Georgia Line, Steve Cropper and Darius Rucker.
