ABOUT

Dr. Jennifer Fraley is a freelance clarinetist, woodwind specialist, and educator in Northwest Wisconsin. She is currently principal clarinetist with the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra and auxiliary clarinetist with the Chippewa Valley Symphony. She maintains a teaching studio both in-person and online, working with clarinetists of all ages.

Jennifer has taught at the collegiate level previously at University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, Troy University, and as a graduate assistant at the Florida State University. Prior to moving to Wisconsin, she performed regularly with several orchestras in the southeast, including the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonia Gulf Coast. She has performed or presented at conferences and events such as ClarinetFest, Make Music New York, Bang on a Can Summer Institute, and state music education conventions.

Recent projects include a variety of chamber music ensembles and woodwind transcriptions, as well as reviving Sources Duo with husband and percussionist, Benjamin Fraley. When not playing or teaching, Jennifer works in marketing and writes educational articles on woodwind instruments for music educators, beginning music students, and their families. Special interests and research include Eb clarinet solo repertoire, contemporary music, and solo/chamber music for adult amateur musicians.

Dr. Jennifer Fraley is a Yamaha Performing Artist and performs on Yamaha clarinets exclusively.
