ABOUT

Adolfo Herrera is one of the most talented and versatile musicians on the South Florida music scene. He has over 80 commercial album recordings to his credit, six of which have been nominated for Latin Grammy Awards. He works as a music producer, drummer-percussionist (live and session), arranger, and musical director. He also has experience in theater and musical theater as a musical director, composer, musician, and actor. He has a Carbonell Theater Awards nomination for Best Supporting Actor in the musical category. His solo work, IRREPETIBLE, is available on all platforms and consists of a series of poetry-based musical improvisations that explore themes such as loneliness, love, and exile, among others. His work as a producer can be found in the second season of the Netflix series “Pálpito” (in the SWAY version adapted for Mariaca Semprún in her role as Nikki Guerra). His credits have ranged from the Miami Symphony Orchestra to the Raíces Jazz Orchestra (with Tony Succar and Pablo Gil), the De La Paz Ensemble, and Siudy Flamenco Dance Theater. His versatility is demonstrated by the wide variety of styles he has mastered throughout his career: jazz, rock, pop, ska, Latin, Afro-Venezuelan folk, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, and flamenco, among others.
