Born and raised in Santos, Brazil, Alberto began playing percussion at age 12 and the drumset at age 14. He has studied at Conservatório Beethoven in Santos and privately with Brazilian masters Duda Neves, Realcino “Nene” Lima, and Zé Eduardo Nazário. In 1989 Alberto moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. Alberto is an active author, drummer, producer and educator.
