ABOUT

Alvaro Morello is an award-winning composer, most recently winning Best Music at the Vancouver Horror Film Show festival for The Strongbox. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a degree in Music and an internship with JSM Music in New York, Alvaro Morello moved to Los Angeles to build his career in film, television, and song composition.

As a songwriter, Al collaborated with Bo Burnham to co-write Bo’s fourth Netflix musical comedy special Make Happy, producing all the music. His songwriting talent also brought him to the attention of Universal Music and the Univision Music Group, where he penned songs for their stable of musical artists.

Growing as a musician and artist, Al ventured into scoring to picture. Feature films such as The Jurassic Dead, Waspnado & Raiders of the Damned, TV shows including Crime Watch Daily, Extra, Dr. Phil, and national TV commercials for Barbie, Mountain Dew and Capital One Visa highlight his twenty-year career as a composer.

Throughout his entire career, Alvaro has depended on the innovations of Steinberg’s Cubase/Nuendo and Yamaha for his workflow to meet the difficult time constraints and deadlines that professional projects demand. Having relocated back to Phoenix, AZ he is currently preparing to teach a course entitled Scoring to Picture at his alma mater Arizona State University.
