Born in Cape Town, South Africa and currently residing in NYC, Anton started drumming around age 4 and progressed to a music degree at the New England Conservatory in Boston. In 1986, he joined The Late Show with David Letterman – a position he held for 29 years. During that run, he played with the world’s greatest musicians, including Miles Davis, James Brown, Bruce Springsteen, Tony Bennet, Steve Winwood, and Pete Townshend, to name just a few. Anton has performed and recorded with such world-renowned artists as Bob Dylan, Joe Bonamassa, KISS, and Ace Frehley. Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Mick Jagger. Anton recorded an instructional video – In the Groove Late/Night Drumming – and was voted #1 Best Rock Drummer in Modern Drummer’s Readers Poll 2010.
