Bill Dowling is a Yamaha Performing Artist and the producer of Horn Engine™️. He has traveled the world and has had the privilege of working with some of the finest musicians, including; The Count Basie Orchestra, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Illinois Jaquet Big Band, David Murray Big Band, Paul Anka, Savion Glover, They Might Be Giants, KC & The Sunshine Band, The Al McKay AllStars: Earth Wind & Fire Experience, Gene Simmons, Heat Wave, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Royal Crown Revue, The Four Tops, Temptations, Mary Wilson, Numerous Broadway Shows, Commercial Jingles, Film Scores, Jack Jones, Cleo Laine, Frankie Valli, The Big Apple Circus, Aretha Franklin, and many others.

He was the last trumpet player to ever hold the lead trumpet position with the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus. He is currently freelancing in the Greater Los Angeles area, and is giving lessons and clinics to eager students whenever possible.

A new profile of Bill is included in a book called The New Face of Jazz: An Intimate Look at Today’s Living Legends and the Artists Of Tomorrow by Cicily Janus, published by Random House. The book features interviews with many of jazz’s finest artists, including Wynton Marsalis, Patti Austin, Diane Schuur, Arturo Sandoval, Jason Moran, Eddie Daniels, George Benson, Terrence Blanchard, Eric Marienthal, James Moody, Phil Woods, Lee Ritenour, Sammy Nestico, and many more. This book is a a remarkable collection of interviews and photographs (by Ned Radinsky) and is clearly the new standard bearer for what is going on in the jazz world today.
