In the summer of 2013, Mr. Rojas recorded a live performance of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmonic Joven de Colombia at the famed New World Center in Miami Beach, FL. He released two albums in 2015: Eduardo Rojas Plays Beethoven Vol 1 and Regenwald – Melodies from the Rainforest. The latter recording showcases Rojas’ own published arrangements of Latin American music, which have already been sold in over 40 countries worldwide.
Mr. Rojas judged and taught master classes at the 2016 Asian Pacific International Piano Competition in Taipei, Taiwan. He has upcoming performance and educational engagements which include international master classes, chamber music performances with artists such as Gary Levinson and Santiago Cañon, and is scheduled to perform at the 2023 Beethoven Festival with the Orquestra Rio Sinfônica, in Rio de Janeiro. Inspired by his vision of integrating his musical skills with his passion for teaching and entrepreneurship, Mr. Rojas founded the Rojas School of Music in 2014. It is a private institution aimed at deepening the impact of artistic education in the Dallas / Fort Worth area — where he currently resides with his wife, Stephanie, and English bulldog, Diego.
Mr. Rojas devotes time for the development and support of programs for music education, as well as cultural exchanges between North and South America. He is committed to making a difference in his community by creating a number of youth orchestras through his after-school orchestra programs in Grapevine, Flower Mound, and Corinth, Texas.
Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, Mr. Rojas began taking piano lessons with his father, Eduardo Rojas Sr., at the age of five. At age thirteen, he entered the University of Cauca where he completed his studies under the tutelage of Uruguayan pianist, Manfred Gerhardt.
