Jane Aspnes received emeritus recognition upon retirement from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She is currently living in Bellingham, Washington and is a member of the Pacific Northwest Opera orchestra. She also regularly performs with several regional orchestras and local choral groups. In addition, she was instrumental in forming a very active chamber music group, the Cascadia Chamber Players, whose goal is to take music directly to people in unique locations beyond traditional venues. Cascadia Chamber Players focuses on early composers including Vivaldi, Telemann, Bach, Handel, Joseph and Michael Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven.
