Born and raised in the Midwest, Keelan began formal piano studies at age thirteen and quickly distinguished himself, earning honors such as the Anaheim Heritage Festival’s “Maestro Award,” Gene Harris Jazz Festival’s “Best Jazz Soloist,” and Interlochen Arts Academy’s “Outstanding Musician” award. He went on to study performance at both the Manhattan School of Music in New York City and the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. In addition to his performance career, Keelan is a dedicated educator. He currently teaches privately and performs regularly in Miami, Florida, where he is based.

A practitioner and advocate of the Transcendental Meditation technique, Keelan brings a centered and intentional approach to both his artistry and pedagogy.
