Larry Cox is a Grammy Award-winning producer, songwriter, music director, and Yamaha-endorsed artist whose career spans over two decades in the music industry. Born and raised in Long Beach, California, Cox grew up in a household rooted in faith and music. As the son of a minister and amateur musician, his passion for sound was ignited early. At just 14 years old, he wrote, produced, and released his first Gospel album composed of eight original tracks—a milestone that set the foundation for a lifelong musical journey.
Cox’s early career was marked by his curiosity and versatility. Throughout high school and college, he explored various genres, including jazz and classical music, which enriched his musical vocabulary. His talents soon led him to join forces with R&B singer Brian McKnight and later landed him a spot on a major tour with pop superstar Jessica Simpson in 2001.
