Mark Beckett was born just a stone’s throw away from R&B mecca, Muscle Shoals Alabama. Being the son of legendary keyboardist Barry Beckett, music was always in the house. At the age of 13, Mark decided to pick up some drum sticks after hearing the great Eddie Bayers on a recording. A year and half after his first snare drum hit, Mark did his first recording session and the rest is history. Having a 25+ year career in the music business, Mark has played with the “Who’s Who” of talent and has become one of the more “In Demand” drummers in Nashville. Mark has been a member of the World Famous Opry Band of the Grand Ol Opry since 2009.
