Lane Velayo is executive director for the
Indiana Music Education Association (IMEA) and its Foundation whose mission is to advance music education in Indiana by advocating for the best musical interests of all students and by providing quality programs, professional development and services. Velayo leads his staff and works with volunteer leadership and other stakeholders to execute on that mission. He is currently the chair for the
National Association for Music Education‘s Council of State Executives and has previously been recognized by the American Society of Association Executives through admission in their Diversity Executive Leadership Program.
