Matt Wood is the Director of Bands at Ridgeview Middle School in Round Rock, Texas. The band program offers a musical outlet to students within the Cedar Ridge learning community with three concert bands and a jazz program. Beyond the classroom, Matt serves throughout the year at Music for All events, including the Bands of America Summer Camp, the Music for All National Concert Festival and the Bands of America Fall Championships.
Before his current role, Matt served as a high school band director in the College Station and Leander Independent school districts. His educational journey began at Texas State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Studies. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Tyler.
