Dr. Paul Buyer is director of percussion, director of music and professor of music at
Clemson University. He is a sought-after keynote speaker, clinician, and the author of “
Drumline Gold” (coming soon), “
Working Toward Excellence,” “
Marching Bands and Drumlines” and co-author of “
The Art of Vibraphone Playing.” He is a contributing author to the second edition of “
Teaching Percussion” by Gary Cook. He serves as co-editorial director for
Percussive Notes, the official journal of the
Percussive Arts Society. Dr. Buyer is a
Yamaha Performing Artist and serves as a clinician/endorser for
Vic Firth drumsticks,
Remo drumheads,
Sabian cymbals and
Grover Pro Percussion. He is also an educational artist for
Balter Mallets.
