Amy Sorter

Amy Sorter is Director of Higher Education at Yamaha Corporation of America, where she also leads the Outbound Sales Team. With more than 25 years of experience across higher education, publishing, and institutional strategy, she is known for aligning people, purpose, and innovation to advance student success. Amy also serves as a Professor of Music Industry Studies at the University of South Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Journalism from the University of New Hampshire.

Jun Fujimoto

Jun has enjoyed a long association with Yamaha pianos, first as Yamaha Canada Music Ltd’s Institutional Marketing & Artist Relations Manager and now as member of the HES Team. A classically-trained pianist, Jun graduated with a Bachelor and Masters of Music in piano performance from the University of Toronto, and spent one year with the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Artist Diploma Performance Program. In 2010, he placed 1st in the 3rd Berlin International Amateur Piano Competition held at the Berliner Philharmonie.

Dom Cicchetti

Dom has worked in the music industry for more than twenty five years as a clinician, product specialist and sales manager. Having worked directly with schools to develop replacement plans for their existing inventory, Dom will be able to devote a great deal of his time to the advancement of pedagogy and technology among music educators. As a keyboardist, Dom worked with diverse performers such as Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli & Meatloaf.

Higher Education Solutions Group Manager – South Central Region

Dr. Neal Postma

Neal has worked in nearly all parts of the music industry over the past 15 years. As an educator, he taught at the university level for six years and spent three years teaching at the Guangdong Country Garden School in Foshan City, China. As a saxophonist, he has performed around the world as a soloist and as a chamber and orchestral musician. He has also worked with the National Saxophone Museum and Taneycomo Festival Orchestra. Neal joined the Yamaha HES team in the Fall of 2021 after being a Yamaha Performing Artist for several years.

Dr. Benjamin MacDonald

Ben brings a wealth of experience from the higher education and nonprofit sectors to the Yamaha Higher Education Solutions team. His leadership roles within nonprofit organizations have equipped him with unique expertise in strategic fundraising and recruitment, making him a valuable asset to educational institutions. Ben’s commitment to excellence and his passion for music education position him as a key resource for universities aiming to enhance their programs. Ben holds a B.M.E from Central Michigan University (2019), an M.M. from the University of Oklahoma (2021), and a D.M.A. from Arizona State University (2023).  

Higher Education Solutions Group Manager – Southeast Region

Dr. Jonathan Kierspe

Dr. Jonathan Kierspe’s focus on high-quality performance has led him to perform in Croatia, Italy, France, China, and across the United States. He has had the opportunity to present performances at prestigious events such as multiple North American Saxophone Alliance Bi-annual and regional conferences, the Navy Band Saxophone Symposium, the European Saxophone University in Gap (France), the World Saxophone Congress, and the Bowling Green State University New Music Festival. He has also performed concertos with the University of South Carolina Wind Ensemble and the Bowling Green State University Orchestra. Jonathan earned a D.M. from Florida State University, his M.M. from Bowling Green State University, and his B.M. from the University of South Carolina.

Hee Cheng (Alexis) Seah

Hee Cheng (Alexis) Seah, 谢喜晴, is a Singaporean saxophonist based in the United States. An active performer and educator, Alexis has presented recitals and masterclasses across Asia, Australia, Europe, and the United States. Dedicated to expanding access to quality saxophone education, Alexis serves as Operations Director of the Great Plains Saxophone Workshop, where she works to create meaningful, engaging, and inclusive experiences for saxophonists of all backgrounds. Alexis received her saxophone education from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore) in collaboration with the Royal College of Music (United Kingdom), Master of Music at Oklahoma State University and Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Oklahoma (ABD).
