About Tara Mahadevan
Tara Mahadevan has always been captivated by regional music scenes, attending hip-hop, ska, punk and indie rock shows in her native St. Louis from a young age — an interest that led her to become a writer, journalist, and cultural documentarian. Her work has since become an effort to champion emerging and independent artists, and to dig deep into the communities that rear them. Tara’s articles have been published in Complex, Chicago Tribune, The Fader and Vice, among others. When she isn’t writing about or listening to music, you can find her digging into a music biography or music documentary, or working on a zine.
